Championship Division – Elimination Final

Hawthorn v Collingwood
1:00pm (AEST), Sunday 2 August
La Trobe Sports Stadium, Court 2

Collingwood’s Championship side have shown throughout the season that they’re capable of matching up against the competition's best.

Last time the two teams met in Round 7, Key Forwards Sam Maraldo (eight goals), Ben Jankosvki and Anthony Perito (both five) proved impossible for the Hawks to pin down.

Through attacking forward pressure and efficient ball movement, Collingwood defeated the Hawks by 65 points in a dominant four-quarter display.

There no second chances in this Sunday’s Elimination Final and the Pies will be looking to rise to the occasion in the do-or-die clash once more to extend its season for another week.

Community Division – Elimination Final

Collingwood v Hawthorn
2:00pm (AEST), Sunday 2 August
La Trobe University, Court 1

The Community Division side has continued to improve in 2026, producing some impressive performances and showcasing depth of talent across the Wheelchair Magpies program.

The team will enter their Elimination Final clash with plenty of confidence.

During their previous encounter with Hawks in Round 7, the Pies kept their opponents goalless (97-2) for the entirety of the game.

Collingwood will aim to bring the same intensity and disciplined approach that helped them produce the incredible 95-victory and has been an ongoing feature during their 2026 VWFL campaign.

The Victorian Wheelchair Football League provides opportunities for people living with disability to participate in a competitive and inclusive version of Australian Rules Football. The competition features Championship and Community divisions across Victoria.
