Collingwood Reconciliation Action Plan

19 Aug 2020

Last year our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was endorsed and awarded “Stretch” status by Reconciliation Australia.

This was a proud and significant moment in the club’s reconciliation journey.

The club’s RAP Working Group oversees all initiatives and includes leaders from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and representatives from across the club. We are very fortunate to have Jodie Sizer as Chair of the group.

Jodie is a Collingwood Board Member, a proud Djab Wurrung/Gunditjmara woman, a founding partner and co-CEO of PricewaterhouseCoopers Indigenous Consulting, and one of Australia’s foremost Indigenous leaders.

Jodie Sizer says, ” Our RAP formalises our commitment to respect, recognise and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The whole of Australia is on an important journey as it deals with the impacts of racism and considers what, as a nation, we want to be and are to become. Collingwood is also on its own journey and we will continue to strive to make positive and lasting contributions to the lives and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.”
