Collingwood Cares – A giving day for Magpie Nest

25 Jul 2019

About the Magpie Nest Program

Magpie Nest helps the most vulnerable people in our community – those who are homeless, disadvantaged, or in crisis. We aim to make a genuine difference in the lives of people sleeping rough, living in unsafe rooming houses, or simply doing it tough. We provide a network of services and safe accommodation to help people get back on their feet.

Magpie Nest is a partnership between Collingwood and the Salvation Army Project 614 Team based in Melbourne’s CBD, and has been operating since 2012.

Our Magpie Nest Program provides food, accommodation and support for people who are sleeping rough on our streets. People who are alone and in crisis in the depths of winter. It’s a huge chance to make a genuine difference and change lives.

How the Collingwood Cares Giving Day works

For one day only, every dollar donated will be quadrupled by our generous matching donors, meaning your donation is quadrulpled.

A $25 dollar donation becomes $100, $250 becomes $1,000, and so on.

With your help we can make a significant impact through the Magpie Nest program.

All donations are tax deductible and go directly to the Collingwood Foundation to support Magpie Nest – they do not go to the club’s general revenue.
